Abstract

The article reveals the policy of central and regional authorities towards students and professors in the Russian Far East higher schools in the 1917–1930s. The author describes the process of establishing the total state and the Communist party control over the higher school institutions. Among issues analyzed there are proletarization of the higher education, purges of students and faculty members on the social basis, repressions.
